Letter from the Principal

Dear PHCA Family and Friends,

God has called us to the task of partnering with Christian parents who are seeking to instruct their children in the ways of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). The Christian educational philosophy practiced at Parma Heights Christian Academy is Kingdom Education. The definition of Kingdom Education is the life-long, Bible-based, Christ-centered process of leading a child into a new identity in Christ, developing a child according to his/her specific abilities given to him/her by Christ, so that a child would be more empowered to live a life characterized by love, trust, and obedience to Christ. While PHCA understands their partnership with parents, that partnership extends to their churches in which they serve. It’s these three components (home, church, and school) that when brought together, function for the purpose of training the next generation to love and serve Christ and others.

Rigorous academics are vital to our program as we guide students to increased knowledge and wisdom using God’s Word as the lens by which we teach our students to view His world. All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

We understand that the way we view and teach our students about God’s world is different from “the world’s” view. At PHCA, we seek to have the mind of Christ to glorify God with our lives and further His Kingdom. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:2).

Serving Him,

Dave Griffey
